Countdown to the 106th China Import and Export Fair

China suppliers are drumming up their effort to  make a big push in the upcoming China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) (广交会), which is scheduled to be open officially on 15th October.

In less than 10 days, China Import and Export Fair, which is better known as Canton Fair or 广交会 in Chinese, will be off the ground and the place is hopefully packed with ten of thousands of visitors.

” Suppliers will only have to invest about US$3,500 for the booth depending on the size,” Chairman of  China Foreign Trade Center Zhang Zhigang said.

Date of 106thCanton Fair:

  • Phase 1: Oct 15-19, 2009 (9:30-18:00)
  • Phase 2: Oct 23-27, 2009 (9:30-18:00) 
  • Phase 1: Oct 31- Nov 04, 2009 (9:30-18:00

Venue of  106th Canton Fair:

China Import and Export Fair Complex  (No. 380, Yuejiang Zhong Road, Guangzhou, China).

 

A couple of Chinese manufcturers and suppliers already feel the pinch by learning the latest economic data released by the US this week.  They are disheartened on news that a double-dip recession is likely to occur . A double-dip recession occurs when an economy goes into recession twice without having undergone a full recovery in between.

United States and European countries have long been Chinese major trading partners and largest exporters.

In the meantime, Hong Kong Mega Show Part 1 and Part 2 will be held at the Hong Kong Convetnion and Exhibition Center.

Mega Show Part 1 will showcase the gift, houseware, preminums and toy industries. Show date starts from 20-23rd October. 

Mega Show Part 2  also runs concurrently with other business events in Hong Kong showcasing building and decorations materials, lighting and hardware. Show date starts from 28-30th October.
