Although China trade figures in June remained weak, with exports and imports contracting year on year basis, the fall showed a sign of slow-down, the General Administration of Customs said on Friday.
June exports dropped 21.4 percent year on year to 95.41 billion U.S. dollars, but the figure was up 7.5 percent from May.
June imports was down 13.2 percent year on year, totalling 87.16 billion U.S. dollars, but were up 15.6 percent from May.
Premier Wen Jiabao struck a cautious note on Friday, warning that an improvement in the economy did not mean that the China was through its difficulties.
“The economic recovery is not on a solid foundation, and the negative impacts from the international crisis have not eased,” Wen said in a summary of recent meetings with economists and industrial groups.
