eBay Paypal China new foreign trade portal
To scale up its growth with China eCommerce, Paypal launched a new portal for foreign trade to provide a professional “one-stop service of external trade, according to PeopleDaily online.
The new foreign trade portal is reported to target for small-and-medium enterprises, providing a full suite of services ranging from overseas marketing, payment and shipping. Aliuser tried to locate the site through Google but failed to find whether it is for B2B , B2C or C2C services in China.
Paypal is eBay‘s electronic payment provider, its major competitor comes from Alibaba’s Alipay and it has been moving forward in the first half of this year:
1. In April, Paypal teams up with Alibaba Wholesale platform AliExress, enabling AliExpress users to make payment through Paypal
2. In March, Paypal has reached a deal with the Chinese intra-bank card system operator China UnionPay, to allow China UnionPay’s card holders to use PayPal as a payment tool when shopping on overseas websites
