China Wholesale Alibaba sets off 1688.com

Pairing a new domain name with her IPO trading code (HKSE1688) in Hong Kong, Chinese B2B e-commerce group Alibaba (HKSSE1688) is set to launch her China online wholesale business (阿里巴巴中國網站) with a domain name “1688″.

A countdown starts on its new website – www.1688.com today and Alibaba China wholesale platform will start operating on March 8th targeted for small medium buyers,traders and suppliers in China. Overseas buyers who understand and manage to read simplified Chinese can take advantage of  the newly-set up B2C marketplace. Alibaba wholesale Aliexpress is up and running on her international site in the meantime.

Interestingly enough, Aliuser also noticed  its online promotion, which has been circulated within Chinese websphere for a while. Some said the advertising tends to be much more grass-rooted than before – similar to the culture and style of Alibaba’s subsidiary Taobao.com. CCTV also has the commercial on air!
