China Taobao 淘寶 Peak Sport ecommerce trial
Hong-Kong listed Sportswear manufacturer and retailer Peak Sport Products 匹克體育(1968.HK) formed a partnership with Alibaba‘s consumer to consumer platform (C2C) Taobao.com to establish an online store.
Peak Sport official online shop was debuted along with its plan to open 500 new stores by the second half of 2010, bringing its total store number to 7,200. Peak Sport Products new product listings are delivered on its online store

The company plans to increase the numbers of its basketball-themed stores to 50 from 28 by the end of this year and expects the number to exceed 100 by 2011.
Peak Sport Products’ (1968.HK) same-store sales for the second quarter of 2010 grew by 12.5% year-on-year, the company announced July 9. Peak also reported that it added a net of 562 outlets in the six months ending June 30, bringing its total to 6,768.
