Alibaba makes a call to new frontier – Vietnam
Alibaba.com (HKSE1688) has appointed OSB Investment and Technology Joint Stock Company (OSB) as the authorized “Gold Supplier” international edition reseller in Vietnam.
The Business to Business eCommerce operator announced on June 1st that despite the adverse economic environment worldwide, the company still recorded 100,000 members in Vietnam and registered users have grown by 140% in 2008.
Alibaba.com also announced plans on May 5 to offer the Gold Supplier product internationally for $2,999 per year. Gold Supplier was launched as a China-only service in 2000 and extended to Hong Kong and Taiwan in 2007 and 2008, respectively.
